Job Summary
Custodian (Floater) for Centennial School District (ISD12), Districtwide Minnesota. 8-hour evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (hours may vary during summer/non-student days); 261 workdays per year. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, trash and recycling removal, sweeping, mopping, classroom, office, restroom, hallway, gym, and cafeteria cleaning; setting up and cleaning after events; basic building and equipment maintenance; reporting repairs; coordinating with supervisors; maintaining district and safety trainings; and ensuring building security at night. Requires knowledge of cleaning duties, ability to lift up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), willingness to work in various conditions, and compliance with OSHA standards. Licensed boiler knowledge required within specified timeframes (Special Engineer Boiler License within 1 year; 2nd Class C Boiler within 2 years). Required Qualifications
- High School degree, GED, or equivalent
- 1 year of school custodial experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of building cleaning skills
- Excellent customer service
- Basic PC operation skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and supervisors
- Confidentiality understanding
- Energetic, timely, respectful
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds unaided
- Ability to perform custodial tasks in various conditions
Desired Qualifications

- At least one year of experience in a school custodial position or equivalent
- Experience with basic PC operation relating to email, internet, and work order systems
