Job Summary
Maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of school classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and grounds by performing diversified custodial tasks daily. Operate custodial power equipment, assist with moving furniture, and execute sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing activities while adhering to district standards and safety precautions for cleaning solutions. Perform heavy manual labor including lifting 50 pounds, standing, and walking long periods across the campus. Work the second shift evening from 2nd shift start to finish, with regular attendance required. Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Satisfactory work record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members
- Must pass drug and alcohol testing
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
- AA or higher degree
