Job Summary
Perform janitorial duties, operate motorized cleaning equipment, and handle hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, labeling, cleaning, and recycling special and hazardous waste. Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor, and comply with safety rules while using proper personal protective equipment. Work Monday through Friday in day or night shifts, fill in during staff shortages, and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items. This role requires lifting up to 35 pounds and may involve forklift certification. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
