Job Summary
Custodian responsible for maintaining a clean, safe school environment; performs routine and deep-cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and facilities upkeep in accordance with school standards. Duties include cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, offices, and common areas; set up/break down for events; restock supplies; monitor inventory; respond to spills and safety issues; follow safety protocols and report facilities issues. Preferred: OSHA 10, bilingual (English/Spanish), experience in K-12 school or institutional facilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently with minimal supervision. Full-time position based in Cary, NC.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Minimum 1 year of custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment safe for a school environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills in English; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
