Job Summary
Custodian responsibilities include cleaning and services restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors and stairs, collecting waste, inspecting doors/windows/locks, reporting repairs and hazards, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, washing walls/ceilings/windows, and cleaning grounds and parking lots. Requires physical stamina: long hours of walking/standing, exposure to extreme temperatures/noises/chemicals, lifting up to 50 pounds, and outdoor work in all weather. Pre-employment drug screening and background check required; safety commitments and equal employment opportunity policy apply. Work authorization in the United States required; no visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of janitorial methods and tools
- Knowledge of safety rules and hazardous materials handling
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to operate janitorial equipment (floor buffers, vacuums)
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work without direct supervision
