Custodian

Maintain building cleanliness and safety by eliminating slip, trip, and fall hazards. Clean floors using brooms, mops, industrial buffers, and ride-on scrubbers; respond immediately to spills and leaks. Perform heavy scrubbing in common areas and bathrooms, pressure wash areas, and unclog toilets while maintaining free-running drains. Clean overhead vents, light fixtures, and eye wash stations; pick up trash on walkways and outdoor areas. Mix chemicals properly, shampoo carpets periodically, and handle minor repairs and sidewalk maintenance in snow. Work Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm for training followed by 9am to 6pm, earning $10/hour for the first 10 weeks and $15/hour thereafter. A high school diploma or GED, two years of janitorial experience, and a clean background are required.
