Job Summary
Maintain a safe and clean facility and grounds by cleaning interiors including floors, carpets, windows, and walls, while disinfecting desks, door handles, and phones. Manage cleaning and supply inventory for all supply rooms, placing orders as needed, and maintain outdoor grounds by removing debris and snow from sidewalks. Empty trash and recycling bins, dust furniture and fixtures, and perform minor repairs on equipment and tools. Notify appropriate personnel of unsafe conditions and interact with a diverse population while maintaining client confidentiality. Work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or GED
- Active driver's license and minimum state-required auto-insurance
- Reliable transportation
- 1 to 3 years minimum work-related experience
- Prior demonstrated knowledge of various cleaning products, equipment and when and how to use and store them appropriately
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to use and troubleshoot basic cleaning equipment
- The ability to interact with a diverse population
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- The ability to maintain a high level of client confidentiality
- The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during the workday
- Must frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs while cleaning offices, clinical areas, restrooms, and common spaces
- Frequently pull, push, and maneuver housekeeping carts, vacuums, floor machines, and other cleaning equipment
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance or reasonably accommodation
- Ability to safely use step stools and ladders for tasks such as changing light bulbs or cleaning high surfaces
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and use hand tools and cleaning products
- Adequate vision and hearing to identify safety hazards, read labels, and respond to alarms or emergency situations
- May occasionally work around clients who are experiencing behavioral health crises and have the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor
