Custodian at San Diego State University

Custodian responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of interiors, grounds, common areas, and exteriors at San Diego State University. Performs essential cleaning tasks across doors, halls, restrooms, offices, lounges, elevators, and other spaces; vacuuming carpeted areas and mopping non-carpeted floors; dusting fixtures and window ledges; sanitizing restrooms; restocking supplies; handling trash and recycling; assisting with setup for meetings and class activities; maintaining dry, safe entranceways and walkways; assisting with cleaning/repairing rooms after resident or guest move-outs; snow and ice prevention via snow shoveling and salting; loading/docking supplies; and other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of janitorial experience; must have troubleshooting and communication skills, be a team player, and demonstrate initiative, punctuality, and reliability; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
