Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and play spaces while sanitizing equipment and high-touch surfaces. Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, assist with minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, and maintain outdoor areas including playgrounds, walkways, and irrigation systems. Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking lots, manage outdoor waste and recycling, and respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff. Coordinate with external vendors for landscaping, snow removal, and pest control services. Keep inventory of supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing ladders
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a background check and meet all state/federal childcare facility requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable mode of transportation
