Job Summary
Perform heavy cleaning duties including scrubbing, sanitizing, vacuuming, and mopping plant equipment, offices, and bathrooms. Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners, change light bulbs, and maintain water coolers. Move furniture, supplies, and equipment using a powered industrial truck, trim shrubbery, and clear walkways of snow or leaves. Apply insecticides and fumigants while adhering to safety programs and using personal protective equipment. Keep work areas neat, monitor and restock cleaning supplies, and notify supervision of repair needs or hazardous situations. Operate a powered industrial truck to load and unload materials. Work inside and outside an industrial laundry facility, lifting up to 90 lbs. and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
- In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
- Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.
- Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, working in cramped areas, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 90 lbs., carrying up to 50 lbs., and stooping.
- Physical requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
