Job Summary
Clean designated production and non-production areas in accordance with plant requirements to maintain a safe, organized work environment. Remove non-hazardous debris, cardboard, and general waste while supporting 5S and housekeeping initiatives throughout the facility. Assist with seasonal needs such as salt application and entry mat upkeep, and help identify facility issues requiring maintenance attention. Report unsafe conditions, spills, leaks, or sanitation concerns to leadership and ensure all cleaning practices align with plant safety and environmental expectations. Maintain awareness of pedestrian and forklift traffic while performing duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA)
