Job Summary
Conduct kitchen and facilities cleaning duties, including cleaning equipment, appliances, and general areas. Prepare and serve nutritional meals and snacks while maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and food in an orderly manner. Drive the Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies. Perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing with physical effort up to 50 lbs. Work in indoor and outdoor environments with temperature changes and exposure to dirt, dust, and odors. No formal education required; six months experience in janitorial and maintenance duties or equivalent training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to cook, taste and smell food
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing
- Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies
- Six months experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
