Job Summary
Maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment for the Area Command by performing daily general maintenance and housekeeping duties. Conduct extensive janitorial work including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning facilities while lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing as required in both indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to dirt, dust, and varying temperatures. Requires six months of general janitorial and maintenance experience, effective English communication skills, and the physical energy to meet strenuous attendance and work standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing
- Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform the needed janitorial work
- Six months experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
