Job Summary
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, sinks, and toilets; polishes mirrors and waxes floors. Sweeps sidewalks, vacuums, and mops; dusts and polishes furniture. Washes dishes in the kitchen and dining area; cleans stoves, ovens, and defrosts refrigerators. Washes, folds, and stores laundry and linens; empties trash cans and collects trash from grounds. Assists in setting up meeting rooms with tables and chairs. Monitors light fixtures to ensure bulbs are functional and replaces them as needed. Occasionally assists the public with unloading donations and performs minor building maintenance and repair work. Requires six months of general housekeeping experience or equivalent training.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read and communicate the English language
- Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, climbing and some lifting
- six months experience performing general housekeeping duties
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
