Job Summary
Custodian position at Smart Jr High (Davenport Community School District) 4 hours per day (7:30 PM – 11:30 PM). Responsible for vacuuming all areas, repositioning furniture, dusting and vacuuming vents, removing trash, vacuuming upholstered furniture, assisting with deep cleaning (stripping, scrub & recoat, restroom and glass cleaning), snow removal, minor groundskeeping (lawn mowing), assisting with delivery of supplies, maintaining equipment, reporting maintenance issues to Head/Lead Custodian, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires ability to lift up to 56 lb, climb up to 8-ft ladders, navigate steps and uneven ground, and follow oral instructions. Must meet general qualifications per Davenport Community School District custodian job description. Must have high degree or GED.
