Job Summary
Oversee custodial staff in the absence of the supervisor by modeling cleaning standards, providing ongoing training, and covering shift gaps for sick or emergency leave. Maintain cleanliness across dorms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and the building exterior while ensuring timely spill cleanup and adherence to OSHA chemical safety protocols. Spearhead bed bug protocols, maintain equipment, complete linen laundry, power wash sidewalks, and keep logs documenting critical tasks. Participate in continuous improvement efforts while working independently with a Christ-like manner. Requires CPR certification within 90 days, active driver's license, and alignment with the organization's faith-based mission.
Required Qualifications
- Previous successful housekeeping or custodial experience
- Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift, carry, pull or push up to 50 pounds while using proper universal lifting and carrying techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements including handling cleaners, solvents and chemicals
- Ability to work independently and proficiently with limited supervision
- Ability to promote infection control and deal effectively with pest infestations
- Ability to work respectfully, professionally and in a Christ-like manner with program participants
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire date
- Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct
- Active driver's license
