Job Summary
Sweep and vacuum floors daily, mop classrooms and hallways as needed, and dust furniture. Clean corridors after school, maintain janitorial closets, and stock restrooms appropriately. Mop bathroom floors, scrub and disinfect bathrooms twice weekly, and wash windows inside and out twice yearly. Keep waste baskets empty and clean the building's exterior. Report vandalism, deliberate littering, and demeaning behavior to the supervisor. Perform physical duties including lifting up to 40 pounds and enter data into a computer. Work 220 days in a school environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be in sufficiently good enough physical condition to perform physical duties such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning, lifting, etc.
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff
- Must exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer
- Must be able to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids
- Must be able to hear and understand speech at normal workplace levels, outdoors and on the telephone
- Must be able to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal workplaces, outdoors and on the telephone
- Must have physical agility to lift up to 40 pounds
