Job Summary
Supervise and instruct employees in proper custodial and safety methods while inspecting assigned zones for cleanliness and unusual activity. Reassign crews to respond to special needs and prepare or review written disciplinary actions and performance appraisals. Act as a liaison between building representatives and the Custodial department to streamline work processes and decrease complaints. Maintain a safe work environment through equipment inspection and demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations. This 12-month GA position is contingent upon registering for and completing a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester. Applicants must be born-again Christians who affirm the Bob Jones University creed, mission, and core biblical doctrines, including a conservative lifestyle and active membership in a local Bible-believing church.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of hazards and safety methods related to custodial operations
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, in one-on-one or group settings or by telephone
- Good writing skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with management
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred
- Ability to keep time and attendance records preferred
- Ability to perform physical inventory of equipment and supplies preferred
- Your employment is contingent upon meeting the academic requirement of registering for and completing coursework for a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester as outlined in the handbook or obtain the necessary waiver.
