Job Summary
Keep the assigned area clean and orderly by preparing chemicals, maintaining equipment, and performing cleaning duties as instructed. Tasks include restroom cleaning, office sanitation, trash removal, and floor care using damp mops and wet mops in indoor or outdoor environments. Wear appropriate PPE including glasses, gloves, mask, goggles, and closed-toe shoes while observing safety procedures and lifting up to 25 pounds. This position supports the Respect of Florida Program, providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities across County and State agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Must be able to communicate issues to the immediate supervisor
- Must wear the appropriate PPE: glasses, gloves, mask, goggles, and closed-toe shoes
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must consistently come to work every day and is on time
- Must follow instructions and respond to the supervisor's direction
- Must observe safety procedures
- Must report to supervisor potentially unsafe conditions
- Must use equipment and materials properly
- Must demonstrate respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, including an understanding of the unique needs of employees with disabilities
