Job Summary
Perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and disinfecting restrooms and locker rooms. Remove trash in accordance with established procedures and respond to emergency calls for custodial assistance. Identify stains and use proper chemicals for removal while maintaining inventory and submitting written requests for supplies. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations of the College safety policy, which apply to the work environment. This full-time position requires working on feet all day, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working under pressure with short deadlines, including over time on weekends. Minimum pay rate is $15.00/hour with full benefits including tuition remission, retirement program, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with stripping and waxing the floors and shampooing carpets
- Familiarity with and adherence to all safety rules and regulations of the College safety policy
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions
- Ability to work in adverse conditions
- Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
- Ability to work on feet all day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
