Job Summary
Custodial Technician supports daily facility operations by performing routine cleaning in public areas, offices, restrooms, lobbies, corridors, and event spaces. Maintains “best-in-class” cleanliness per daily/weekly/monthly tasks, with potential weekend and evening work. Responsibilities include trash/recycling handling, spill cleanup, floor care, restroom maintenance, restock of supplies, surface cleaning, light event prep/support, and reporting hazards or equipment issues to supervision. Requires ability to lift 25–50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, bend/stoop, and flexible availability for event-based scheduling. Background check and U.S. work eligibility required. Education: 18+ and high school diploma or GED preferred. Employer provides competitive benefits. Location: Downtown Charleston, SC.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- previous cleaning/janitorial experience, ideally in venues, hotels, or event spaces
- ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- communicate effectively regarding job tasks
- physically able to lift 25–50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, bend/stoop
- reliable transportation
- flexible availability for event-based scheduling
- strong attention to detail
- teamwork and customer service orientation
- familiarity with floor types (carpet, terrazzo, marble, wood) and safe cleaning methods
- experience in high-volume public venues or performing arts facilities
- employment contingent upon background check
- eligible to work in the U.S.
