Job Summary
Custodial Technician at Rodeo Cannabis Co. in Sterling, CT; responsible for cleaning production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces; perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care; disinfect high-touch surfaces; restock restrooms; manage custodial supplies; follow cleaning SOPs and Connecticut cannabis facility cleanliness standards; report hazards and spills; must be 18+, pass background check, and be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds; part-time schedule Tue-Thu 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; pay $18.00 per hour; four-day weekends; growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a full shift.
- Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, kneeling, and physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures in a regulated facility.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic.
- Must be 18 years of age or older per Connecticut cannabis regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check as required by Connecticut cannabis industry compliance.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience.
- Experience cleaning in a commercial, industrial, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment (auto-scrubbers, buffers, etc.).
- Knowledge of OSHA, SDS, or general workplace safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage cleaning schedules efficiently.
