Job Summary
Provide training and leadership to assigned crew members on cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, trash removal, mopping, restroom cleaning, disinfection, and glass cleaning. Perform daily quality assurance inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards. Coordinate schedules, verify time worked, and forward supply and equipment orders while monitoring usage. Execute landscaping duties such as grass cutting and snow removal. Maintain good relations with customers and communicate any concerns. Work flexible hours, including weekends and inclement weather, while adhering to safety practices and handling cleaning chemicals per OSHA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekends
- Capable of working on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up and down stairs
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in the usage and upkeep of light and heavy custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, steam cleaners, microfiber cloths and wet and dry mops
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies/chemicals and their Material Safety Data Sheets
- Knowledge of relevant workplace safety practices, proper use and storage of cleaning supplies/chemicals and associated Safety Data Sheets (OSHA HazCom), Blood Borne Pathogens, etc
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must pass background and drug test
- Minimum of two (2) years prior custodial experience
- Position is considered essential personnel and will be required to work in inclement weather
