Job Summary
Maintain facilities in a safe operating condition by cleaning corporate and school spaces as scheduled. Direct assigned workers to maximize efficiency, arrange furnishings for meetings and events, and fill in when staff shortages occur. Review and inspect all areas for work quality, report maintenance needs and employee issues promptly, and provide on-the-job training. Respond to requests with urgency and keep supervisors apprised of equipment requirements. Use electric buffers, auto scrubbers, and professional steamers while adhering to safety procedures and the "Standard of Clean."
Required Qualifications
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
- Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God
- Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC)
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Three years of experience in custodial work
- Washington State Driver's License
- Housekeeping practices, techniques and procedures include carpet and hard floor care
- Use of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Able to use computerized programs (Agresso Administrator) to process PM's and generate and close work orders
- Able to use electric buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors and professional steamers
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions
- Working hours may vary. May require occasional overtime or unusual hours for emergency needs
- Maintain a high level of personal appearance, consistent with CRISTA standards
- Demonstrate dependability and punctuality, making sure they are at work on time
- Able to read and write in English, understand rules and procedures outlined in the employee's handbook, as well as carry out directions whether given verbally or written
- Able to complete assigned tasks in an orderly and timely manner, meeting the 'Standard of Clean' by following the schedule set forth for each area
- Following safety procedures to ensure the safety of self and others is a must
