Job Summary
Schedule, direct, and train custodial staff for the NARA I shift, Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Inspect work, generate reports, and present information to the Custodial Manager. Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining daily upkeep of assigned areas and equipment. Hold subordinate staff accountable to tasks, coach, mentor, and take disciplinary action as needed. Secure equipment, buildings, and property during the shift, reporting incidents and hazardous conditions to senior management. Develop purchase requests for cleaning supplies, manage inventory, and ensure proficiency in motorized equipment operation. Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism throughout the role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in commercial cleaning required in high profile facilities
- 2+ years of experience as a Work Lead
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents in English
Desired Qualifications
- ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association) or equivalent training desired
- Experience in leading and managing teams with 10+ employees
- Experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic understanding of the upkeep, care and safe operation of motorized equipment used for cleaning i.e. auto scrubber, buffer, snow blower, trash compactor, genie lift, pressure washer, box compactor, sweeper, etc
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand Spanish is highly desirable
