Job Summary
Custodial Services Representative responsibilities include cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, fitness areas, and common spaces; collecting, washing, folding, and dispensing towels; assisting members and guests; supporting facility upkeep; reporting safety issues; and participating in trainings. Requires reliability for weekend shifts (Saturdays/Sundays, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, comfort with cleaning chemicals, and ability to work in a YMCA facility environment. The role is union-represented with wage progression and starting pay at Berkeley minimum, with potential increases after specified hours. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort working in locker rooms and restrooms while occupied

- Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals used in the laundry process
