Job Summary
Second-shift custodial role responsible for keeping Cabot Hosiery Mills’ facilities clean and safe: upkeep of restrooms, cleaning of office/production/breakroom areas, removal of rubbish and recycling, cleaning windows/glass surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, responding to sanitary backups, changing light bulbs and minor repairs, and additional duties such as sidewalk maintenance, lawn and driveway care. Requires HS diploma or GED, knowledge of chemicals, training on safety topics (SDS, PPE, BBP, LOTO), strong communication, multi-tasking, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift 30-75 pounds. Schedule is 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a 10% pay differential; location Northfield, VT, USA. Flexible accommodations noted; travel to organization’s sites locally as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of chemicals used
- Ability to train on Safety Data Sheets, Personal Protective Equipment, Blood Borne Pathogens, Lock Out/ Tag Out, and other safety courses
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Highly responsible & reliable and able to manage confidential information
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to be professional and courteous at all times
