Job Summary
Lead a team of 2-7 custodians while owning building quality and managing both people and tasks. Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and waxing floors; machine shampooing carpeting; cleaning walls, vents, screens, furniture, fixtures, windows, and glass doors. Wash interior and exterior windows, sweep entryways, empty trashcans, clean restrooms, and change light bulbs up to six steps high. Move, remove, and set up furniture and equipment for special functions as directed. Complete work requests to notify management of needed repairs and organize custodial closets. Work the second shift during school hours on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Walk up to 8 hours per day
- Climb ladders, scaffolds up to 6' high, and stairs
- Able to use basic hand tools
- Must be able to successfully lead a team of 2-7 people, depending on location
- Must be able to OWN your building and your building's quality
- Must be a self-starter, motivator, and good listener
- Must be able to Lead PEOPLE... and Manage THINGS!
- Must be able to perform General Cleaning as listed below
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors
- Machine shampoo carpeting
- Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
- Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors
- Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances
- Clean restrooms, plunger sinks, and toilets, and replenish supplies
- Change interior light bulbs that can be reached from the sixth step of a ladder or lower
- Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work
- Organize and supply custodial closets as needed
- Move, remove, and set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed
- Additional job-related duties as required by the Account Manager and/or Building Administration team
- 2nd Shift, School Hours, Weekends
