Job Summary
Coordinate facility maintenance and upkeep for the Community Center, including cleaning basketball courts, weight training areas, locker rooms, and the reception center kitchen. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; service restrooms; polish furniture; clean windows and glass; dust equipment; and prepare cleaning solutions. Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, and plumbing systems; steam-clean carpets; and move heavy furniture using hand trucks. Drive industrial vacuum and floor cleaners while monitoring building security by locking doors post-hours and checking appliance safety. Requisition supplies, set up decorations for events, and notify managers of major repair needs. Manage multiple daily projects and communicate effectively with seniors, peers, and subordinates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- six (6) months of related experience
- Tasks may require lifting, reaching, carrying up to 40 pounds
- Communicating, seeing, hearing, talking is essential to job effectiveness
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and daily activities while meeting timelines
- Must be able to develop and maintain a good working relationship with seniors, peers and subordinates
- Must have good client/customer service skills
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize many different projects and workloads
- Must be able to work independently as needed to support the group effort
- Must be able to communicate effectively (written or verbally) with peers and supervisor
