Job Summary
Greet guests, answer calls, and register participants for programs using registration software. Process payments, handle cash deposits, and manage refunds while maintaining accurate records. Assist with facility reservations, coordinate clerical needs, and provide on-the-job training for new staff. Perform opening and closing duties, including "Manager on Duty" responsibilities during early morning, night, and weekend shifts. Resolve customer concerns and monitor facility safety during unsupervised hours. Schedule runs Sunday through Thursday with afternoon/evening shifts Monday through Wednesday, or Monday through Friday when the facility is closed in summer. CPR/AED certification required or training must be completed within 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least three years' relevant experience
- Strong people and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with the staff and public
- Ability to efficiently multitask
- Good math skills
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to follow through on detailed work
- Solid computer and keyboard skills
- Ability to project a professional appearance
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to complete CPR/AED training within the first 60 days of employment
- Willingness to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule with an afternoon/evening schedule for part of the week (Mon-Weds)
- Willingness to work a Monday through Friday schedule when the facility is closed on Sundays during the summer months
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to make judgments with respect to confidentiality of information
