Job Summary
Under close supervision, the Customer Service Representative fulfills customer orders and manages incoming calls. Duties include responding to product inquiries, providing quotes, processing orders via telephone/fax/email/walk-in, negotiating pricing within parameters to influence gross profit, potentially adjusting non-contract pricing, building relationships to drive repeat business, ensuring inventory levels, selecting cost-effective shipping methods, expediting backorders, handling returns, and collaborating with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction. The role may involve ordering to maintain stock, pulling inventory for shipment, and supporting related duties as assigned. Requires reliability, organization, attention to detail, strong written/verbal communication, multitasking, time management, and basic computer skills; product knowledge is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and zero (0) to three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
