Job Summary
Design and develop the scope and sequence of units for primary Mathematics and Science, including lesson progression within each unit. Apply domain expertise to create learning goals and engaging experiences that build conceptual understanding and scientific thinking. Ensure alignment between learning goals, instructional approaches, and assessments. Review lesson plans to ensure academic rigor and real-world relevance. Collaborate with curriculum developers and teacher training teams to ensure coherence across grade levels. Observe classroom pilots and use implementation feedback to strengthen curriculum design. Stay informed about current research and best practices in Mathematics and Science education. This role is based in Mumbai for local candidates, with no transport or meal facilities provided. All Saturdays are off.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Education
- Masters in Mathematics / Science / Elementary Education, or a related field
- Teaching experience (Math & Science) in primary grades
- Minimum 3 years of curriculum development experience (including lesson plans, student-facing resources, assessments, and teacher-facing resources) in Mathematics and/or Science
- Local candidates needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple grade levels between Grades 1-5
- Experience developing inquiry-based and concept-based learning experiences
- Familiarity with national and international curriculum frameworks for Mathematics and Science
