Job Summary
Curriculum Writer 1, K-5 Math responsible for designing and developing NES-aligned curriculum for grades K-5, including teacher-facing materials (slide decks, DOLs, activities, and differentiated assignments), evaluating curriculum for grade-level suitability and cultural relevance, and participating in PLC/BRAIN TRUST sessions to ensure alignment with state standards and the NES model. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of district-level experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Works within the Houston ISD environment with duties ranging from curriculum development to professional development support.
