Job Summary
Provide direct instruction and Tier 3 interventions to students experiencing reading difficulties, individually or in small groups. Coach teachers during Professional Learning Communities to implement evidence-based literacy programs and support the Multi-Tiered System of Support process. Analyze mCLASS Dibels 3D and i-Ready reports to monitor school data, diagnose reading deficits, and develop skill-specific intervention plans. Lead school-level MTSS teams, organize summer reading camps, and provide professional development on pedagogy and instructional strategies. Serve as a resource for administrators by modeling lessons, co-teaching, and managing resources for school improvement goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- current North Carolina Teacher Licensure
- a minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
- Reading and/or Reading Certification
- Reading Research to Classroom Practice (completed course and willingness to seek training certification)
- AIG Certification
- willingness to obtain AIG certification
- Proficient technology skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Strong instructional skills inclusive of oral and written communication
