Job Summary
Perform all daily prechecks, keep the tow motor clean and safe, and operate it efficiently. Load and unload tumblers, understand cycle times for non-pumped products, and use the control panel and auto-starting system. Operate a hand-held calculator or computer to formulate brines, read a salometer to determine curing agent differences, and prevent product contamination. Setup, tear down, and adjust equipment speeds and pressure for proper gains, pull and maintain vacuum on tumblers, and correct routine curing and tumbling problems. Complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required.
Required Qualifications
- Class III tow motor certification
- Must be able and willing to obtain a Class III tow motor certification
- Must be able and willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Must be able and willing to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently
- Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment
- Must be able and willing to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
- Must be able and willing to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Must be able and willing to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- Must be able and willing to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able and willing to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position
- Must be able and willing to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

- Machine Operator experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
