Cuppa, Conversation & Stories from a Life in Nursing - Community Volunteer

Conduct one-hour visits to an elderly resident in an aged care community in Bonnells Bay, engaging in conversation and providing social support. Maintain a warm, listening presence to brighten the resident's day and reduce feelings of isolation. Coordinate weekly or fortnightly schedules between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Sunday, based on availability. Complete required background checks including a national police check and reference verification, and attend volunteer training. This volunteer role is part of HammondCare's Australian Government-funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, designed to foster meaningful connections between the local community and residents in need.
