Job Summary
Prepare and test lab experiments, exercises, and assignments for Computer Architecture I. Assist students with lab work, deliver tutorials, and present demonstrations. Mark assignments, lab reports, and quizzes while offering consultation hours and answering emails. Proctor examinations and quizzes as required. This specific course position involves 130 total work hours from September 1 to December 31, 2026, with hourly rates of $31.89 for undergraduates and $50.25 for graduate students. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of computer architecture, hands-on experience with Altera Quartus II and FPGA, and strong verbal communication skills in English.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of computer architecture
- Hands-on experience with Altera Quartus II and FPGA
- Good knowledge of VHDL and assembly language
- Must demonstrate clear ability to explain complex concepts
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English
- Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position
- Must be available for all of these (DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching)
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better
- Previous experience as a TA for CEG2136 or equivalents
