Job Summary
Serve as an educator, patient advocate, and connection to support services for families experiencing language and cultural barriers. Work in close partnership with the care team to improve hospital access, quality of care, care coordination, and experience for patients and families. Bridge the cultural and literacy gap between the health care system and the family by helping families build the skills necessary to navigate the health care system independently. Bilingual in English and a target language including Spanish, Amharic, Somali, Arabic, and Vietnamese. Current Washington State driver's license required. Compensation range $35.28 - $52.92 per hour for full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and a target language, including but not limited to: Spanish, Amharic, Somali, Arabic, and Vietnamese
- Current Washington State driver's license
- Certified Medical Interpreter in target language
- Experience providing direct services to target language speaking families
- Experience in community outreach and collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services or health-related field
