Job Summary
Program Manager, Cultural Fire overseeing Taungurung Cultural Fire program development and implementation. Leads strategic planning, operational implementation, and program evaluation to reactivate Taungurung Cultural Fire Knowledge and Practice; serves as a key liaison with State Land and Fire Management agencies and partners; collaborates to develop fire management plans for Taungurung properties and partnerships for an ecological fire service; co-designs organizational policies and procedures to support strategic, tactical, and operational program delivery; engages with other Nations and State partners for program rollout and policy development; establishes cultural fire research partnerships and monitoring to assess impacts of cultural fire practice. Desired capabilities include strong understanding of Traditional Custodian country values, effective communication with Traditional Custodians, commitment to self-determination, and adherence to organizational codes of conduct.
