Job Summary
Organize, document, and catalog cultural records, oral histories, and archival materials while maintaining electronic and physical filing systems. Support the Cultural Historian with transcription, formatting, and preparation of historical documentation, and assist in scheduling interviews and community sessions. Manage data entry, scanning, and digitization of historical documents, and prepare materials for cultural research and preservation projects. Ensure confidentiality of sensitive Tribal information and learn administrative procedures and cultural protocols through structured mentorship and coaching. Perform general administrative support including correspondence and document preparation under the direction of the Cultural Historian.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass all required criminal, character, and background checks
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Valid proof of enrollment as an enrolled PRCI Tribal Member
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of clerical, office, or community support experience
- Strong interest in cultural preservation, Tribal history, or archival work
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, email, data entry)
- Associate degree in Administration, Native American Studies, History, or related field
- Experience working in Tribal government or cultural programs
- Familiarity with archival, records, or documentation practices
- Strong attention to detail and respect for cultural confidentiality and protocol
