Job Summary
Conduct food preparation and service in the kitchen environment while maintaining strict food safety standards. Prepare meals for residents in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting, ensuring all dishes meet quality and safety requirements. Work extended shifts including every other weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. Prior experience in a kitchen environment is required, with healthcare or skilled nursing setting experience preferred. Possess basic food safety knowledge and hold ServSafe certification if available. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30-40 pounds is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience working in kitchen environment
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in the English language
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-40 pounds
- Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare or Skilled Nursing setting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of Food Safety
- ServSafe certification preferred
