Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and serve attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner for assigned shifts. Assist the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department by ensuring efficient meal service delivery, customer service, and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen. Clean work areas, pots, and equipment after preparation and service; ensure all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated, and stored properly. Maintain standards for dining services to residents. This role supports The Ashton on Dorsey, a Sonida Senior Living community in Louisville, KY, offering independent, assisted, and memory care.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements
- High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
Desired Qualifications
- Some supervisory experience
