Job Summary
Set tables, bus tables, and wash off tables after meals. Prepare beverages and food, blend items in an electric blender, and manage the steam table. Serve food and beverages in dining rooms or other areas as required. Prepare hot carts, serve food, and clean and sanitize carts. Wash dishes, scrape and rack items, and sort, stack, and store clean dishes. Mop, sweep, and clean work areas, and take out trash. Wrap silverware. This split-shift role includes 4 days on, 2 days off rotation with shifts running from 6a to 1p and 1p to 7p. Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English
- Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers
- Ability to make self clearly understood by others
- Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
- Ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects
- Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral)
- Ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, walk over 75% of shift
- Ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operation problems or safety concerns
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
