Job Summary
Culinary Manager responsible for overseeing meal preparation and service, planning menus, and managing dining staff. Hires, trains, and mentors dining staff; collaborates with a Registered Dietitian on menu development; monitors inventory and budgeting for the dining department; ensures sanitary, safe food handling and regulatory compliance; supports facility events and works with department leaders on staffing and costs. Requires High School/GED, Certified Food Protection Manager or eligible within 90 days, strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of safety regulations in a senior living environment. The role focuses on ensuring quality meals for residents, families, guests, and employees, with weekend rotation on leader-on-duty and full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Certified Food Protection Manager in accordance with MN Department of Health or eligible within 90-days of hire
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
