Job Summary

Culinary Manager oversees daily culinary leadership in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) serving Independent Living and Health Center residents. responsibilities include menu development for multiple dining programs, ensuring menus are nutritionally balanced, visually appealing, and operationally efficient; introducing new recipes and dining enhancements; supporting events and catering; overseeing food quality, production, sanitation, and HACCP compliance; recruiting, onboarding, and developing cooks and culinary staff; building schedules to manage labor and costs; monitoring purchasing, inventory, waste, and production systems; partnering with general manager and healthcare leadership to deliver exceptional resident dining experiences across care levels; maintaining strong communication between culinary and service teams. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong culinary creativity balanced with operational discipline, and a focus on resident satisfaction and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of culinary leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or upscale dining environments
  • Experience managing teams in high-volume foodservice operations
  • Strong knowledge of food production, menu planning, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Proven ability to manage food and labor costs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Desired Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of culinary leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or upscale dining environments
