Culinary Director

Culinary Director leads kitchen and dining operations for a senior living setting. Responsibilities include sanitizing and organizing kitchen/dining spaces, creating and maintaining staff schedules, developing menus for all meals and special items, managing inventory and purchasing within budget, controlling the culinary budget, receiving and storing deliveries per health codes, maintaining staff levels, training and supervising shifts, coaching and evaluating staff, communicating with HR and Executive Director on issues, participating in department-head meetings, developing department policies, ensuring resident dietary restrictions are documented and communicated to the team, and promoting cross-department communication and resident events. The role also requires ensuring quality service to vendors, relating to residents with empathy, educating staff on the Connections memory care program as it relates to culinary, and performing other duties as assigned. The candidate must exhibit leadership, organization, adaptability, and the ability to work across shifts, with emphasis on safety, nutrition, and resident satisfaction.
