Job Summary
Provide and assist with direct patient care as a Nursing Assistant, including bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfer; document care in real-time; communicate changes in patient condition to the licensed nurse; assist with dining and feeding, prepare and deliver meals, and record oral intake; transport patients to therapy appointments; support recreational and social activities; respond to call lights promptly; perform regular rounds to anticipate needs; uphold patient rights and report any abuse; maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity; ensure cleanliness and safety of patient rooms; adhere to infection control and hand hygiene; follow supply tracking procedures and maintain professional appearance; complete annual continuing education requirements; participate in interdisciplinary improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant Certification course
- Valid state CNA license
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
