Job Summary
Perform basic food preparation and service tasks for retail areas, catering, ingredient rooms, and patient Room Service lines. Accurately manage paperwork including order-taking, cash register operations, temperature monitoring forms, and tray time records. Safely use and clean equipment such as coffee brewers, espresso machines, grills, and fryers while following HACCP principles and food codes. Handle cash and process sales transactions through MyMicros software. Correctly date-mark food items and monitor temperatures to ensure safety. Utilize appropriate scripting to respond to patients and internal customers while maintaining hand hygiene and collaboration. Work the first shift in a part-time role at Kettering Health Main Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Able to push and pull wheeled carts
- Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
- Able to tolerate frequent temperature changes, working around equipment that generates heat, steam and cold
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Food service or customer service experience preferred
