Job Summary
Assist with food preparation and serving for residents, families, and guests at breakfast, lunch, and dinner while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen and dining environment. Follow established sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules to wash dishes, clean equipment, and ensure a dignified atmosphere. Respond promptly to resident and family requests, communicate effectively in accessible languages, and report safety hazards immediately. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, emergency procedures, and attendance policies while supporting team assignments and training new employees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Less than one year related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
