Job Summary
Assists with food preparation and serving according to the established menu while following departmental sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules. Serves and assists residents in the dining room daily, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all guests. Responds promptly to resident and family requests, communicates effectively in accessible languages, and reports safety hazards immediately. Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations, emergency procedures, and attendance policies while wearing appropriate dress. Assists with training new employees and takes on special assignments as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Less than one year related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
